Save The Endangered Black Footed Ferrets!
The Endangered Species Act:The Endangered Species Act helps to recover and conserve endangered species. Their goals are to protect species that are endangered and threatened by helping and assisting to recover them, and by helping to conserve species that are at risk of becoming endangered. They are able to do so by partnering with public and private landowners. The Cooperative Endangered Species Conservation Fund helps to fund for conservation projects for endangered and threatened species. The Listing program also helps to classify if a species can be categorized as endangered or threatened and helps to enforce and ensure that those species are not being harmed. The International Affairs Program also helps species on a worldwide scale, and sometimes works with the EPA, because it only focuses on endangered species in the U.S ("Overview").

The IUCN Red List:
The goal of the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species is to evaluate the status of the conservation of plants and animals on a global scale. The IUCN Global Species Program works with the IUCN Species Survival Commission in order to assess the conservation status of various species around the world. They do this so they can determine which species are on the brink of extinction and then work to prevent the extinction of that species. The IUCN Red List Categories and Criteria highlights and then classifies organisms in the following way ("Introduction"):
"Introduction." Introduction. N.p., n.d. Web. 06 Dec. 2014. <http://www.iucnredlist.org/about/introduction>.
By classifying species this way, they are able to determine which species need to be placed under special care and focus on their conservation.
